Ignify Unveils Industry's First Business Intelligence Portal Integrated With Microsoft Dynamics
Market Wire, February, 2007
Ignify, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and leading provider of accounting and e-commerce solutions, unveiled today the industry's first Business Intelligence (BI) Portal to seamlessly integrate with Microsoft Dynamics. Targeting mid-sized businesses to enterprises, Ignify's BI Portal provides a 360-degree view of a business by consolidating data across all systems into one central location with a personalized, user-friendly interface that will be familiar to MS Dynamics users.
"Executives today deal with far more information than ever before. From emails and documents to data in their ERP systems, deciphering and collating this data in a timely manner is a key challenge for decision makers," said Ignify CEO Sandeep Walia.

IDC Research estimates that 70% of enterprise content is recreated rather than re-used. According to Jupiter Communications, corporate information is not made available to the right people in a manner that makes sense. Gartner estimates employees get 50-75% of the data they need from other employees, and that data is stored on individual hard drives.
Ignify's BI Portal solves the enterprise information access challenge by offering a high degree of summarization, charting and visual representation of data to improve productivity. With timely access to critical information, management can identify and fix problems rather than acting on historic data, enabling them to focus on higher-level tasks and create a competitive advantage.
The BI Portal also enables Enterprise Performance Management across multiple systems by tracking 'Key Performance Metrics' (KPIs) for each function across an organization. For example, easy-to-read Business Score Cards enable managers to identify how many customers were serviced within a certain timeframe and with what profit margins.
The Portal features a simple three-point warning system with green, yellow and red lights indicating system status on several business and key performance indicators. Alerts provide warnings to users when KPIs of the business dip into warning or danger zones. These alerts are available both via email and on the portal. The system can also be monitored remotely to enable ever-increasing mobile workforces.
BI Portal was built on Microsoft .NET technologies and leverages the Microsoft stack including Windows Server 2003, SQL Server 2005. The solution is available in a version that integrates with Sharepoint services for customers that use MS Sharepoint. The portal supports aggregation of information from multiple applications on various databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase running on Windows and Unix (including Linux) environments.
"Enterprise information access should be simple and hassle-free, no matter how complicated a system a company has in place. Our portal gives enterprises the tools to think and act on their feet for improved business performance. It is a practical and cost-effective solution to a complex problem," added Walia.
