HealthPartners and Regions Hospital employees donated more than $1 million to charitable community organizations in 2006. The contributions benefit four major employee fund raising campaigns and smaller food drives benefiting more than 300 local charities.

"This generosity reflects employees' passionate commitment to HealthPartners mission to serve our community," said Donna Zimmerman, HealthPartners vice president of government and community relations.

HealthPartners and Regions Hospital largest employee fundraiser, the Community Giving Campaign, raised $450,000 for four charitable federations, including: Twin Cities United Way, Community Health Charities - Minnesota, Community Solutions Fund and the Minnesota Environmental Fund. The second largest campaign, Sharing at Work, contributed nearly $440,000 to programs that benefit patient care, education and research. Other employee charitable campaigns in 2006 include:

             American Heart Walk $ 105,426
