Senator Barbara Boxer Returns to Town Hall Los Angeles on Monday April 2nd

United States Senator Barbara Boxer (California - D) will speak with Town Hall Los Angeles on Monday, April 2, 2007 at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. Angelenos have the opportunity to ask their Senator questions during Town Hall's eponymous question and answer session.
Boxer's appearance marks her fourth at Town Hall Los Angeles since 1992. At her first appearance, Boxer was a member of the US House of Representatives and was the Democratic candidate for the US Senate. She returned as a Senator in 1993 when she delivered the speech "A Strategy for California's Economic Prosperity." During that speech, Boxer said, "...we need to invest in our children from pre-natal care through college. We need the most educated workforce in the world."
In the same speech, Boxer warned, "Our deteriorating infrastructure is a major handicap in the global competitiveness contest." Her third appearance before Town Hall was in 1998 when she shared "A Look Ahead" with Town Hall members.
Boxer became a US Senator in January 1993 after serving 10 years in the US House of Representatives. She is chair of the US Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works and serves on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and Commerce Committee, the Democratic Policy Committee's Committee on Oversight and Investigations and is the Democratic Chief Deputy Whip.
