NewMarket Technology, Inc.'s "Project LAC" Website Detailing Latin American Trade Mission Now Available in Spanish and Portuguese
Market Wire, April, 2007
NewMarket Technology, Inc. (OTCBB: NMKT) today announced launching the " Project LAC " website in Spanish and Portuguese. The website was previously available in English and provides details about "Project LAC" and the Request for Application (RFA) issued to all small U.S. technology companies interested in attending a business development Trade Mission to Latin America scheduled for July 2007. The purpose of Project LAC is to enhance small U.S. technology company involvement in the Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) regions. The project is funded by United States Agency for International Development (USAID), supported by the dot-ORG program and implemented by the Academy for Educational Development (AED) and NewMarket Technology .
Any small U.S.-based technology company may apply, and up to ten companies will be selected to participate in the project. The deadline to apply is May 1, 2007. The chosen companies will receive information and guidance on how to expand their businesses into LAC markets, particularly underserved areas, as well as an opportunity to develop initial business opportunities through a Trade Mission to Latin America in July 2007.
A copy of the RFA and further project information for companies interested in participating in the project are available on the project website at www.projectLAC.com .
NewMarket Technology was selected to implement the project from a competitive group of applicants based on the company's own successful growth in the LAC region. NewMarket initially entered the LAC region in 2004 to bring emerging technologies to emerging markets. NewMarket's Latin American operations have grown rapidly to an expected $20 million in profitable annual revenue for 2006, and the company projects $30 million in revenue in 2007.
