Light Crafts Completes Adobe's Creative Suite With LightZone's Purpose-Built Photo-Editing Capabilities
Market Wire, April, 2007
Light Crafts, creators of LightZone photo-editing software, today announced the availability of version 2.4, an innovative purpose-built photo-editing application available on Windows® and Mac®. This updated version of Light Crafts' award winning software is available to eligible Adobe® Creative Suite® users at a discounted rate of $199.95 (regular price: $249.95). The software complements Adobe's pixel-based editing with LightZone's more intelligent photo-editing functionality.
LightZone is ideal for creative users looking for a best-of-breed photo editor that is easy to understand. Creative users with all levels of experience benefit from LightZone by dramatically improving their photographs quickly and easily. LightZone was created by photographers and makes it easy to bring out the true tone, color and contrast frequently hidden in digital images, often with just a single slider. LightZone offers a one-stop-shop solution to photo-editing with a robust and complete set of photo management and non-destructive editing tools, including built-in Digital Asset Management, RAW, JPEG, TIFF, and DNG editing, immediate and batch processing and noise reduction with powerful masks and layers.
LightZone 2.4 includes the most recent innovations in digital image processing so users can instantly and easily:
-- re-light virtually any image with a single slider
-- create more vivid pictures, with a new vibrance control
-- turn images into great Black-and-Whites with a single strength control
-- improve image quality by fine-tuning RAW adjustments
-- improve noise reduction produced by the camera
"Light Crafts is dedicated to providing users with an advanced photo-editing application that produces images that stay true to the creator's vision," said Georges van Hoegaerden, CEO of Light Crafts. "While Adobe® has made a name for itself in graphic design, its 20-year old pixel-based technology ignores photographic knowledge that can make photo-editing so much more powerful. LightZone employs patented image analysis technology that makes it easy for photographers to reproduce what their eyes saw, rather than the image their camera captured."
Light Crafts offers the full version of LightZone 2.4 at an introductory price of $199.95 to eligible Adobe CS1, CS2 and CS3 (any version of CS3) users until July 30. The software can be purchased at the Light Crafts website www.lightcrafts.com where a specific discount SKU is listed.
