Fortis Inc. (TSX: FTS) will hold its Annual Meeting of Shareholders on Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. (Newfoundland time), 9:00 a.m. (EDT), at the Delta St. John's Hotel and Conference Centre, 120 New Gower Street, St. John's, NL.

Mr. H. Stanley Marshall, President and Chief Executive Officer, Fortis Inc., will review the important events of the past year. Mr. Barry V. Perry, Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer, Fortis Inc., will review the financial performance of the Corporation in 2006 and provide an overview of results for the first quarter 2007.
