Ensim Announces New Unify Shared Edition Supporting Microsoft Hosted Exchange 2007 and Windows SharePoint Services 3.0
Market Wire, May, 2007
Ensim Corporation, the leading provider of management software for Unified Communications and Collaboration infrastructure, today announced that Unify Shared Edition 4.0 -- a major upgrade of Ensim's award-winning communications and collaboration management center for service providers -- will be released in June, 2007. Unify Shared Edition 4.0 will allow service providers to provision and manage Microsoft Exchange 2007 and SharePoint Services 3.0 in a wide range of deployment scenarios, such as on HMC 3.5, HMC 4.0, and homegrown infrastructure.
Ensim Unify Shared Edition is a single, centralized software application that simplifies the day-to-day burden of activating, configuring and managing a service provider's Unified Communications and Collaboration infrastructure. The new version of Unify Shared Edition can be installed on most platforms, including:
HMC 4.0
Ensim Unify Shared Edition 4.0 extends Microsoft's technology and allows service providers to centrally provision and activate subscribers with Microsoft Hosted Exchange 2007, Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 and existing Ensim Unify modules for popular applications such as BlackBerry and Siemens OpenScape, among others.
HMC 3.5
Service providers with an existing HMC 3.5 platform can utilize Unify to deploy Microsoft Exchange 2007 and SharePoint Services 3.0 on their existing infrastructure without the need to upgrade to HMC 4.0.
Homegrown Hosted Exchange Deployments
Service providers currently offering hosted Exchange on a homegrown platform can install Unify 4.0 on their infrastructure and easily deploy any of the Ensim Unify modules as hosted services without incurring significant costs.
"With Unify Shared Edition 4.0, Ensim offers major conveniences to service providers by letting them deploy Exchange 2007 and Windows SharePoint Service 3.0 on their existing HMC 3.5 solution or on a new HMC 4.0 infrastructure," said Francois Depayras, vice president of sales and marketing at Ensim Corporation. "Our support and compatibility with multiple setups demonstrates our commitment to staying ahead of the curve and ensuring our customers always have the tools they need to get new services to market ahead of the competition."
