Craig Malcolm, CFE, is a former Principal of LECG, the founder of FAIS, prior to its merger with Grant Thornton. He also held management positions at KPMG - Peat Marwick Thorne and the Guarantee Company of North America. Mr. Malcolm is recognized as an international expert who has investigated and managed hundreds of cases, including corporate fraud, loss recovery, asset tracing, employee impropriety, aggression and harassment, both on a proactive and reactive basis.

With over 35 years of experience in his field, Mr. Malcolm has conducted inquiries throughout Canada, the U.S. and England. His unique qualifications include senior criminal investigations for the Ontario Provincial Police and Peel Regional Police services where, over a 15 year period, he made outstanding contributions to the Criminal Investigation Branch, Special Services by bringing to successful conclusion significant major crime investigations including occurrences of homicide, criminal intelligence and fraud. His clients have included private, public and crown corporations, partnerships and unions. Considered an accomplished interviewer and tracer of misappropriated assets he has successfully located hidden asset and acquired admissions, confessions, and witness affidavits, which have been invaluable in mitigating loss and establishing a factual and evidentiary record of what occurred.
Mr. Malcolm is a Certified Fraud Examiner, a member of the Association of Certified Forensic Investigators, and a contributor to the "Accountants Handbook on Fraud" published by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. He has also authored articles relating to Post 9-11 Risk for both Workplace Today and Plant Magazine and articles relating to corporate investigations for Lawyers Weekly.
