Prolifics Wins 2007 IBM Impact SOA Process Solution Award
Market Wire, May, 2007
Prolifics, a worldwide provider of IBM WebSphere, Portal, SOA, Security and Business Integration solutions, announced it has been named by IBM as the winner of the 2007 SOA Process Solution Award. The nominated solution was an innovative implementation that enabled Southside Electric Cooperative (SEC) to integrate their mobile workforce, call center and office real time. The award will be given out during IBM's 2007 IMPACT Conference in Orlando, Florida this week.
"IBM's Impact Awards go to solutions that solve traditional problems in nontraditional ways and that will be drivers in tomorrow's new markets," said Sandy Carter, Vice President, SOA and WebSphere, IBM Software Group. "When choosing the winners and the finalists for the 2007 SOA Process Solution Award, we looked at each organization's solution and the value it delivered to customers. We are honored to recognize Prolifics as the winner of this year's award and were impressed with the quantifiable benefits they were able to articulate and deliver by using SOA to improve business processes."
During IMPACT, Prolifics will speak in three different tracks. Prolifics CEO, Nicolas Jabbour, will discuss "Long-term Vision of SOA for IT Industry Leaders." Additionally, experts from Prolifics' staff will speak on the Technical Track with "WebSphere Process Server Drives End-to-End SOA: Integration for a Real World Application" and Birds of a Feather track with "Common Usage Scenarios with WebSphere Process Server & WebSphere ESB."
As an early adopter with WebSphere Process Server, Prolifics' certified WebSphere Solution Architects, Administrators and Developers work with IBM to conduct large enterprise-scale SOA projects. By leveraging existing IT resources, introducing new capabilities, and integrating business processes, Prolifics enables its clients to be more agile and responsive to any changing business priorities, pursue new markets, beat the competition, drive down costs and maintain corporate compliance.
With SOA as a strategic focus area, Prolifics has dedicated a majority of its consulting staff to IBM's WebSphere Software and SOA approach, as well as growing by acquisition. Last year, Prolifics acquired Promenix, Inc., which strengthened their SOA services practice. This focus also led Prolifics to be one of the first companies designated by IBM with the "Ready for SOA" specialty mark.
