Symantec Enterprise Vault the Only Leader in Latest Magic Quadrant for E-mail Archiving

Symantec Corp. (NASDAQ: SYMC) today announced that Symantec Enterprise Vault has been positioned as the only Leader in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for E-mail Active-Archiving, 2007(1). Symantec Enterprise Vault e-mail and content archiving software enables organizations to reduce storage costs, protect critical records, improve employee productivity and achieve compliance with industry and government regulations requiring the retention and supervision of e-mails, instant messages and other forms of electronic communications and collaboration. Symantec Enterprise Vault is a key component in Symantec's Information Foundation product suite, a single solution for managing information risk.

According to the Gartner report, published May 16, 2007, "Leaders have the highest combined measures of an ability to execute and a completeness of vision.
