Marathon Technologies Teams With immixGroup to Service Growing Federal Market Demand for COOP Availability Solutions
Market Wire, July, 2007
Marathon Technologies Corporation, the leading provider of automated, fault tolerant-class availability solutions for virtual and physical environments, today announced that it has formed an alliance with immixGroup, Inc., a leader in technology representation, channel programs and government contract management, and one of the fastest growing private companies in the Washington, DC metro area. As part of the agreement, Marathon products will be available through immixGroup's National Aeronautics and Space Administration Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement IV ("NASA SEWP IV") contract. Marathon also has a pending modification for placement on immixGroup's General Services Administration (GSA) Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) contract.
Together, Marathon and immixGroup will help federal agencies drive Continuity of Operations (COOP) planning by ensuring agency employees have continuous access to critical applications and that vital records and agency information are continually protected. immixGroup will offer Marathon's fault tolerant-class availability solutions to assist government agencies that are looking for improved availability and continuity of operations. As a result of the growing interest in meeting the availability requirements of the COOP directives, Marathon's everRun software is supporting key COOP initiatives for congressional security, public health first responders and aviation safety.
"It has never been more important for federal agencies to be ready and able to provide continuity of operations across a variety of disruptive events including both major events and minor systems failures," said Art Richer, President of immixGroup. "Marathon's everRun software provides the high availability technology agencies need to protect the integrity of critical agency applications and information."
