As the next step in Tripwire's® strategy to deliver a platform for continuous compliance across the data center, the company today announced how it will help IT operations accelerate and assure CMDB success. Tripwire also announced its certified integration with BMC Software's Atrium 2.0 CMDB application.

According to Gartner research, IT organizations should focus on configuration and change management processes before moving forward with a CMDB implementation. "Enterprises must establish change and configuration processes, as well as automation, before selecting a CMDB solution. Ensure that 1) critical processes are established, 2) stakeholders are working together to determine the appropriate data that should be in the CMDB to represent the business services and 3) data integrity is maintained."
