X PRIZE Foundation to Announce Largest International Prize in History

What: The X PRIZE Foundation will announce a new prize in the tens of
millions of dollars, the largest international prize in history,
during a press announcement at WIRED magazine's NextFest event
in Los Angeles. The Foundation will be making a joint
announcement with the purse sponsor, a very exciting and
well-known Fortune 500 company.
WIRED's vision of a new World's Fair, WIRED NextFest is a
four-day festival featuring innovative products and technologies
that are transforming our world. This year's event features more
than 160 interactive exhibits from leading scientists and

WIRED NextFest will begin with an "Opening Ceremony" Thurs.,
Sept. 13th at 10:00 am, with the X PRIZE Foundation's
announcement directly after at 10:30 am. Thursday is also
"Education Day," which provides students and teachers the
opportunity to experience the interactive event for free.
