Market Wire, September, 2007

ColdWatt Inc. announced today that Joe Marengi will join the company as an independent board member. Marengi is a venture partner at Austin Ventures, and has more than 28 years' experience in the IT industry including senior executive positions at Dell and Novell. He will also act as an advisor to ColdWatt, a three-year-old company that is focused on developing energy efficient power supplies for the computing, networking, storage and telecommunication markets.

"We are excited to have Joe's wisdom and hands-on experience in the enterprise IT arena to assist us as we grow our business," said Joe Lamoreux, ColdWatt CEO. "Joe's knowledge and understanding of the industry will be invaluable as we strive to help IT equipment vendors meet and surpass their customers' green IT challenges."

After 10 years at Dell, Marengi recently joined Austin Ventures as a venture partner focusing on the hardware and software industries. While at Dell, Marengi served as senior vice president and co-general manager of Dell Americas with responsibility for all of Dell's operations in the Americas region, including sales, marketing, manufacturing and service. He also served as the general manager of Dell's commercial business group, which includes servers, storage and PC markets. Prior to Dell, Marengi was president and COO of Novell, following several other executive positions with the company, including head of Sales and Worldwide Field Operations.

"Data center energy efficiency has become a 'checklist' item for IT executives today and is forcing CIOs to pay attention to the very real issue of running out of available power in the future," said Marengi. "I believe that ColdWatt is well positioned to help IT executives improve their data center efficiency by reducing the power they are consuming, and I'm excited about the opportunity to help ColdWatt make a huge impact in the market."
