Taseko Added to the New S&P/TSX Global Mining Index and S&P/TSX Global Gold Index

Taseko Mines Limited ("Taseko" or the "Company") (TSX: TKO)(AMEX: TGB) announces that the Company has been included in the new S&P/TSX Global Mining Index launched on June 12, 2007, as part of publicly traded international mining companies. Taseko was also been added to the S&P/TSX Global Gold Index.
Taseko will be included in these key indices beginning September 24, 2007.
Taseko is focused on creating wealth through the production of mineral products as well as the acquisition and development of new projects. Its main assets are the Gibraltar copper-molybdenum mine, the Prosperity gold-copper project and the Harmony gold project.
