Faronics Releases New Version of the Deep Freeze Plug-in for LANDesk(R)

Faronics is pleased to announce the release of Version 2.0 of the popular Deep Freeze Plug-in for LANDesk® Management Suite. This latest release offers several performance enhancements, including the addition of new features such as support for the LANDesk® Web Console, automatic application updating, and enhanced Deep Freeze status reporting.

Deep Freeze enables administrators to protect a workstation's operating system and software without restricting user access. With every system restart, Deep Freeze resets the computer to its original state -- right down to the last byte. Computing environments are easier to manage, and expensive computer assets are kept running at 100% capacity. The Deep Freeze Plug-in for LANDesk® gives administrators the ability to activate scheduled tasks, manage computers with multi-level user defined groups, and improve process updates while preserving and protecting the productivity of PC and Mac workstations. The integration between Deep Freeze and LANDesk® provides administrators with an efficient and central way to manage Deep Freeze tasks from within the LANDesk® Console.

Version 2.0 of the Deep Freeze Plug-in for LANDesk® is available from www.faronics.com/landesk for free. The plug-in supports LANDesk® Management Suite 8.7 SP3, Deep Freeze Enterprise 6.0 and higher, and Deep Freeze Mac 3.2 and higher. Mac users will require Mac OS X 10.4 or higher.
