"Barbie(TM) as the Island Princess" is an all new Barbie(TM) soundtrack CD containing 12 Barbie(TM) songs, including 9 all new original songs from the made-for-DVD movie of the same name released on September 18, 2007, distributed by Universal Studios Home Entertainment.

"Barbie(TM) as The Island Princess" marks the newest made-for-DVD release from the Barbie(TM) entertainment franchise, which has collectively sold more than 46 million units worldwide. In the movie, Barbie(TM) stars as Princess Rosella(TM), who is shipwrecked on an island and has grown up unaware of her true identity. In her island paradise, Rosella(TM) learns to talk and sing with a "family" of loving animals, but when the adventurous Prince Antonio(TM) discovers their tropical island, the princess' desire to uncover her past leads her and her loyal animal friends to sail with the prince to his coastal castle.
