Ventera Named to Technology Fast 50 for Second Consecutive Year
Market Wire, October, 2007
Ventera Corporation, an information technology professional services company, has been named number 17 among Deloitte's 2007 "Technology Fast 50" Program for Virginia. This is the second year in a row that Ventera has been ranked among the 50 fastest-growing technology companies in the state. The Technology Fast 50 ranks companies according to their percentage revenue growth over five years from 2002-2006. During that time Ventera's revenue grew from under $4.5 million to more than $30 million, a compound growth rate of 581%.
Robert Acosta, CEO of Ventera, said, "Ventera continues to be recognized each year for our company's growth. This represents a strong vote of confidence from our customers who appreciate the fact that our people are the best in the business."
To qualify for the Technology Fast 50, companies must have had operating revenues of at least $50,000 in 2002 and $5,000,000 in 2006, be headquartered in North America, and be a company that owns proprietary technology or proprietary intellectual property that contributes to a significant portion of the company's operating revenues; or devotes a significant proportion of revenues to the research and development of technology.
"Deloitte's Virginia Technology Fast 50 companies have shown the strength, vision, and tenacity to succeed in today's very competitive technology environment," said Mr. Gary H. Tabach, Managing Partner for Deloitte's Greater Washington Practice. "We applaud the successes of Ventera and acknowledge it as one of the very few to accomplish such an impressive growth rate over the past five years."
"The 2007 Virginia Fast 50 have experienced remarkable growth while competing with technology and life sciences companies in this global marketplace. Today, we congratulate the winning companies on their noteworthy accomplishments and continued growth," said Mr. William J. Perlstein, Co-Managing Partner of WilmerHale. WilmerHale is a co-sponsor of the Virginia Technology Fast 50, along with NASDAQ.
