ADP Launches New Payroll Solution for Accountants to Serve Their Small Business Clients
Market Wire, October, 2007
ADP Small Business Services today announced the release of a new online payroll solution, RUN(SM), powered by ADP (NYSE: ADP), Payroll for Accountants. RUN enables accountants to view their entire small business client base with a single sign-on, and offers a full spectrum of payroll services, from basic payroll calculations to direct deposit and tax filing.
RUN is designed specifically with accountants in mind, and only requires an Internet connection to get started. Accountants can set-up RUN through the program's easy-to-follow guides, or allow ADP to perform full-service set-up. Accountants also have the option to create a branded home page for their firm which can be accessed by their small business clients.

Once set-up is complete, using an intuitive point-and-click menu, accountants can calculate payroll gross-to-net, preview the results prior to processing, and offer online access to payroll information and direct deposit for their clients' employees. When payroll is complete, accountants can choose to print paychecks and reports, have ADP print and deliver them on their behalf, or forward checks and reports to clients for printing.
RUN's payroll journal entries can also be exported to QuickBooks(TM), Microsoft Office Accounting, as well as all other major accounting packages via Microsoft Excel(TM). Based on client need, accountants can also choose to file clients' taxes with RUN-generated signature-ready tax forms, or sign up for ADP's full service tax filing.
"Today's accounting firms see the value in managing payroll as a way to service their clients, but want a solution that is quick, easy and affordable," said Beth Siegrist, Vice President, Software Solutions, ADP Small Business Services. "With RUN, we've responded to this need by providing a flexible way for accountants to process payroll on behalf of their small business clients, without the mundane administrative tasks and compliance headaches often associated with payroll."
With RUN as their back office processing solution, accountants can have peace of mind knowing that the service includes automated payroll and tax reminders along with unlimited support from ADP payroll professionals. Accountants can also take advantage of consolidated billing that lists all client charges on one convenient monthly bill.
