TheStreet.com and Quigo Announce Strategic Partnership
Market Wire, October, 2007
TheStreet.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: TSCM), a leading provider of financial news and ratings, business and investment content and custom advertising solutions, and Quigo, a pioneer and leading provider of premium publisher advertising solutions, today announced that they have entered into a multi-year, exclusive relationship in which TheStreet.com will deploy a custom version of Quigo's AdSonar platform across various pages on www.thestreet.com .
The new TheStreet.com-branded AdSonar platform will enable advertisers to buy performance-based, content-targeted advertising by clicking on contextual "sponsored links" throughout the Web site, with purchases processed by Quigo's sales team or via an easy, self-service interface.
Unlike other advertising networks, where advertisers are uncertain of the specific sites or pages where their ads will run, Quigo's AdSonar-powered advertising platform offers full transparency and control, enabling advertisers to target their placements by page, topic or keyword.
Under the agreement, TheStreet.com and Quigo will also work together to test various new targeting methods, advertising formats and pricing options to optimize their collaborative innovative efforts.
"We are very excited about our partnership with Quigo," said Thomas P. O'Regan, SVP of advertising sales at TheStreet.com. "Quigo's technology will enable us to take performance-based advertising on TheStreet.com to the next level, enhancing our leadership position in digital media."
"We are delighted to welcome the TheStreet.com into the AdSonar network of premium publishers," said Henry Vogel, Quigo's Chief Revenue Officer. "TheStreet.com has a valuable readership base that advertisers are keen to target. We are looking forward to partnering with the TheStreet.com to deliver ever more useful advertising to its readers and powerful solutions to online marketers."
