ClearCube Brings High Performance Centralized Computing Solution to Market With Next Generation A1410 PC Blade and A3100 Chassis and Sentral(TM) Virtual Desktop Management Software
Market Wire, October, 2007
ClearCube Technology, the market leader in centralized computing solutions, today announced the release of its next generation centralized computing solution, which provides more power, manageability and flexibility to IT managers while giving end-users a faster, richer and more powerful desktop PC experience.
The company is introducing the A1410 PC Blade and A3100 Chassis with Expansion Backplane as part of its centralized infrastructure offering, which leverages the ClearCube I9400 series I/Port, the industry's first quad-monitor over IP solution utilizing the break-through PC-over-IP technology from Teradici Corporation. Coupled with its award-winning desktop virtualization software, Sentral v5.5 provides complete management of all computing resources -- including any back-end hardware, virtualized desktop or user access device. The new offering represents the most comprehensive, flexible centralized desktop computing solution on the market.
"The combination of ClearCube and Teradici expands the possibilities for centralized PC blade solutions, and the new form factors provided by ClearCube will enable an even larger audience of companies to benefit from the joint technology," said Dan Cordingley, president and CEO, Teradici. "ClearCube and Teradici have collaborated on this unique technology solution since our company was founded. Our partnership will allow enterprise IT to deliver true PC and workstation experience to the desk from remote datacenters."
This new multi-purpose high performance solution can be used in environments requiring powerful dedicated 1:1 capacity, virtual desktop deployments, offshore development as well as grid computing. One of the largest insurance companies in the US will be deploying the solution to enhance their actuary grid computing environment, reduce computing costs and improve disaster recovery practices while securing PC resources in their datacenter. The addition of desktop virtualization enables greater user-to-processor density while maintaining usability for workers with lighter computing needs.
First to market with the industry's original connection broker technology, Sentral v5.5 manages PC blades and virtual machine-based desktops while remaining hardware-agnostic, providing clients the ability to utilize any back-end hardware and user access device for desktop virtualization. Features include connection brokering, user device management, remote access, VM management, health and asset management as well as a variety of other systems management tasks for heterogeneous enterprise environments. "The new ClearCube PC blade solution is the only integrated quad monitor over single IP solution on the market today, which enables organizations to realize superior performance while reducing the infrastructure cost required to deliver a solution at this level," said Rick Hoffman, president and CEO, ClearCube. "This type of innovation in the next generation of PC blade technology, combined with Sentral, our virtual desktop software offering, provides organizations -- from financial services, healthcare, federal government to commercial services -- with the most comprehensive solution to meet all their centralized computing needs."
