iStor Networks Delivers Integrated iSCSI Storage for Microsoft Developers at Microsoft ASP.NET Connections 2007
Market Wire, November, 2007
iStor Networks, Inc.®, a leader in affordable, high performance iSCSI solutions, delivers its trademark price/performance value proposition with the integraStor(TM) family of storage appliances at Microsoft® ASP.NET Connections 2007, the premier event for Microsoft developers and database administrators. Microsoft's integrated functionality, coupled with iStor's iSCSI storage, make it simple for users to build and implement cost-effective, IP-based storage area networks (SANs).
The integraStor family is ideal for applications including primary, near line and tiered storage. Scaling from single boxes to multi-chassis 100 TB solutions, the integraStor offers snapshot, continuous data protection (CDP) and high availability (HA) technologies. Full support of Microsoft Exchange, Office, Share, Virtual Server, SQL, VDS, VSS and Simple SAN make the integraStor simple to deploy. The integraStor iS325 is presently shipping, and a new member of the family, the iS512, a scalable RAID solution with eight direct connect GbE iSCSI ports, will be joining it in December. With eight ports, more than any other controller on the market, users can connect more servers without using a switch and take advantage of the full bandwidth of each of the ports. By adding more storage as needed and connecting to switches, the product can economically scale to support over 100 servers.
The integraStor offers built-in support for the Microsoft iSCSI initiator. iStor's advanced virtualization technology simplifies user configurations by presenting just a single pool of storage, from which users can create RAID volumes. Additional features include two MiniSAS expansion ports, up to 4GB of data cache per controller, SAS & SATA support and HA-ready technology based on iStor's flagship 10 million-gate System-on-a-Chip and intelligent storage virtualization stack.
Microsoft ASP.NET Connections takes place November 5-7, 2007 at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. The iStor exhibit will be in Shoreline A, booth #603. A demonstration of Microsoft's virtual disk service (VDS) suite of SAN management tools will be shown managing integraStor products in a heterogeneous SAN environment.
