D-Link(R) Products Honored for Innovation by Consumer Electronics Association

Four new products from D-Link, the end-to-end computer networking solutions provider for consumers and business, have been honored for their innovation by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA).
Named International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) Innovations 2008 Design and Engineering Awards honorees are the D-Link® MediaLounge(TM) DSM-750 Wireless N High-Definition Media Center Extender, the D-Link Wireless USB 4-Port Hub (DUB-2240), the D-Link Xtreme N(TM) GamerLounge(TM) Gaming Router (DGL-4500), and the D-Link Wi-Fi Picture Frame (DSM-210).
As honorees all four products will be showcased at the giant annual CES extravaganza this Jan. 7-11 in Las Vegas, both in D-Link's booth 36212 in the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, and in the CEA 2008 Innovations Display at the Sands Expo and Convention Center.
The CEA Innovation Award honorees were chosen by a panel of independent industrial engineers, designers and trade press editors who judged the entries based on engineering and design qualities, uniqueness, user value, contributions to consumers' quality of life and the impact on the manufacturer's business.
D-Link DSM-750
The most powerful media player yet in the D-Link MediaLounge family, the DSM-750 features dual-band wireless Draft 802.11n technology for fast Wi-Fi performance, making the wireless streaming of high-definition (HD) video possible. It also offers content from more than 21 providers -- including sports, movies and other entertainment. Other key features include cool, silent operation (no moving parts), a convenient remote control, easy-to-navigate TV user interface for quick hassle-free browsing of digital content, high-definition video playback with digital surround sound, a USB 2.0 port to play media stored on a thumb drive or other USB-connected storage device and 10/100 Ethernet connectivity.
The DSM-750 provides the Microsoft® Windows Vista(TM) Media Center experience independent of whether the host PC is being used for other uses, and up to five media players can be used to extend the Media Center simultaneously from the same PC to enjoy music in the kitchen, a photo slideshow in the bedroom, etc.
D-Link DUB-2240
The new D-Link Wireless USB 4-Port Hub (DUB-2240) allows users to wirelessly connect USB devices, such as printers, scanners, digital cameras and external hard drives, to certified wireless USB-enabled notebooks or desktop PCs, effectively providing the convenience of plug-and-play connectivity. Eliminating the burden of cables and wire clutter, the DUB-2240 allows for transmission of video, audio and other high-bandwidth files.
D-Link DGL-4500
Designed especially for online video game enthusiasts, the D-Link Xtreme N Gaming Router (DGL-4500) is powered by Xtreme N Duo(TM) wireless technology for fast data transfer rates and Gigabit Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) ports to provide optimal gaming speeds. Prime features include D-Link's award-winning GameFuel(TM) technology, a high-performance central processing unit (CPU) and Network Activity Display that lets gamers constantly monitor their routers' activities via the included OLED screen.
D-Link DSM-210
The D-Link Wi-Fi Photo Frame (DSM-210) is designed to enhance the home entertainment experience by allowing users to view their favorite photos and videos easily and conveniently anywhere in the home. It is an interactive photo frame housing a high-resolution 10" LCD display that receives content over a wireless home network. With a built-in wireless adapter, the Wi-Fi Photo Frame technology makes it possible for a consumer to simply drag and drop images into a Yahoo® Widget on a computer desktop to watch them automatically appear in the photo frame as a slide show. The frame will also display images from popular Internet sources, a USB drive or flash card. It also supports many calendar programs to help keep you on schedule and will display online news, weather, stock, blogs and podcast through RSS feeds commonly found on the Internet.
