Kaspersky Lab Named One of the Most Promising Technology Ventures in the World as a "Red Herring 100 Global" Finalist
Market Wire, November, 2007
Red Herring Magazine announced today that Kaspersky Lab , a leading provider of Internet threat management solutions that protect against viruses, spyware, hackers and spam, has been short-listed for the Red Herring 100 Global 2007 Awards. Red Herring 100 winners and finalists from North America, Europe and Asia of the last three years were eligible for this award. Kaspersky, included as one of the Red Herring 100 Europe in 2006, has made the final group this year because of its outstanding achievements, and the Magazine is honored to announce it is one of the most promising technology firms in the world.
"Red Herring continually identifies truly innovative technologies and we are extremely honored that our efforts have been recognized on a global scale," said Eugene Kaspersky, CEO, Kaspersky Lab. "This is a great validation to our overall company mission, which is to make the Internet a safer place through both our technology and education to the community about Internet threats and the dangers of cybercrime."
The Red Herring editorial team used a very competitive process to whittle down this pool of 1800 eligible promising companies to the 200 finalists of this first-time award. Evaluations were made on both quantitative and qualitative criteria such as financial performance, innovation, management, global strategy, and ecosystem integration. The names of the 200 companies short-listed as finalists for the "Red Herring 100 Global 2007" can be found online at http://www.herringevents.com/global07/index.html .
