Red Bend Software Ranks 6th in 2007 Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA
Market Wire, November, 2007
Red Bend Software, the market leader in Mobile Software Management and Firmware Over-the-Air (FOTA) updating solutions for mobile devices, today announced that it took 6th place in the 2007 Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA, a ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology companies in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Rankings are based on percentage revenue growth during the past five years, from 2002-2006. Red Bend grew 14,347% during this period.
Red Bend Software CEO Yoram Salinger credits this substantial revenue growth to the global adoption of the company's mobile software management solutions. "Consumers are increasingly demanding greater sophistication from their mobile experience," Salinger said. "Red Bend's market-leading vCurrent® Mobile solution enables operators and manufacturers to deliver continuous feature enhancements and software improvements to mobile phones over-the-air, ensuring consumer satisfaction and building loyalty."
As of Q3, Red Bend's vCurrent Mobile client software for updating firmware over-the-air (FOTA) shipped in 200 million mobile phones across 117 handset models. In total, 15 manufacturers of mobile phones and machine-to-machine (M2M) devices have adopted Red Bend's mobile software management solutions.
"Attracting enough customers to attain such fast growth over five years makes a strong statement about the quality of a company's products and its leadership," said Eric Morgain, partner in charge of Deloitte's Technology Fast 500 EMEA programme. "Red Bend Software has shown that it has chosen exactly the right strategy for growth."
In addition to its recognition on Deloitte's Technology Fast 500 EMEA list, Red Bend recently was named a Finalist in the GSM Association's Mobile Innovation Awards for the Most Innovative Wireless Device-Centric Technology.
Fast 500 Selection and Qualifications
The Technology Fast 500 list is compiled from Deloitte's EMEA Technology Fast 50 programs, nominations submitted directly to the Fast 500, and public company database research. To qualify for the Fast 500, entrants must have had 2002 operating revenues of at least EUR 50,000 and 2006 operating revenues of at least EUR 800,000.
