Vangard Voice Systems Awarded GSA 70 Schedule Contract
Market Wire, December, 2007
Vangard Voice Systems Inc. has been awarded a General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule 70 contract (GS-35F 0096U). Vangard Voice Systems (Vangard) is the provider of AccuSpeech(TM), the only integrated solution that offers easy-to-use development tools and voice-intelligent middleware for adding voice-directed data capture capabilities to new and existing mobile data collection applications. Voice-directed data capture improves productivity, accuracy and control for mobile workers, over less-effective keyboard and stylus data entry.
The GSA award simplifies the ordering process for federal agencies and the Department of Defense (DoD) to deploy voice-directed data capture capabilities for a variety of mobile data collection applications. AccuSpeech can voice-enable mobile inspections applications for government facilities, ports, aircraft, airports and warships, as well as mobile data collection applications for public safety, intelligence gathering, healthcare and supply chain management.
"Our AccuSpeech technology is ideal for voice-enabling hundreds of mobile data collection applications deployed across civilian agencies and the DoD," said Bob Bova, chief executive officer, Vangard Voice System. "By substituting machined keystrokes and stylus with the personal power of the human voice, we're boosting field worker productivity, control and safety while improving the accuracy of data input."
The GSA contract award also opens the door for a wide range of other governmental agencies, including state and local government facilities across the country, to take advantage of the same benefits of voice-directed data capture already available to the private sector.
