First Look Studios Announces DVD Release of KING OF CALIFORNIA Starring Michael Douglas and Evan Rachel Wood

First Look Studios, in association with Nu Image/ Millennium Films, announces the DVD release of KING OF CALIFORNIA in HD-DVD, Blue-Ray and standard formats on January 29, 2008.

In the film, Charlie (Michael Douglas), a fresh-out-of-the-institution father, and Miranda (Evan Rachel Wood), his emancipated teenage daughter, venture together on a quest for an ancient Spanish treasure buried beneath their local Costco in this darkly funny and surprisingly hopeful take on the modern family and the American dream. Miranda, though hesitant at first to believe in Charlie's obscure dream, is swept away into believing in the buried treasure through Charlie's passion and vigor. Through their quest, they re-kindle their challenging father-daughter relationship.
