Lipid Sciences' Request to List on Nasdaq Capital Market Approved

Lipid Sciences, Inc. (NASDAQ: LIPD) announced today that it has received approval from the Nasdaq Listing Qualifications Staff to transfer the listing of its common stock to the Nasdaq Capital Market from the Nasdaq Global Market. The transfer is effective as of the opening of the Market on December 28, 2007. The Company continues to be listed and traded under the symbol LIPD.

The Nasdaq Capital Market is a continuous trading market that operates in the same manner as the Nasdaq Global Market. The Nasdaq Capital Market includes the securities of over 500 companies covering a range of market capitalization up to approximately $4 billion. All companies listed on the Nasdaq Capital Market must meet certain financial requirements, including a $2.5 million minimum stockholders' equity or $35 million minimum market capitalization, and adhere to Nasdaq's corporate governance standards.

Lipid Sciences, Inc. is a development-stage biotechnology company engaged in the research and development of products and processes intended to treat major medical indications, in which lipids, or fat components, play a key role.
