Stratos and CIP Announce Completion of Offer to Purchase Stratos' 9 7/8% Senior Notes Due 2013

Stratos Global Corporation (TSX: SGB) today announced that CIP Canada Investment Inc. ("CIP"), parent company of Stratos, has completed its previously announced offer to purchase Stratos' outstanding 9 7/8% Senior Notes due 2013 (Registered CUSIP No. 862926 AB8; Rule 144A CUSIP No. 862926 AA0; Regulation S CUSIP No. C8617Q AA5) (the "Notes") upon the terms and subject to the conditions set forth in the Change of Control Notice and Offer to Purchase dated December 12, 2007 ("Offer to Purchase").

The Offer to Purchase expired at 5:00 p.m., New York City time, on January 14, 2008 (the "Expiration Date"). CIP has been advised by the Depositary (as defined below) that $1,000 aggregate principal amount of the Notes were tendered prior to the Expiration Date. CIP has accepted for purchase all of the tendered Notes pursuant to the Offer to Purchase, which will be held in trust by an independent Canadian trustee for the benefit of CIP.
CIP has retained The Bank of New York Trust Company, N.A. to act as the Depositary in connection with the Offer to Purchase. CIP has also retained CapitalBridge to act as the Information Agent in connection with the Offer to Purchase.
This announcement is not an offer to purchase or a solicitation of an offer to purchase with respect to any Notes. Any such offer or solicitation is being made only by means of the Offer to Purchase.
