Bart Astor Joins Vangent as Senior Advisor, Education Services

Vangent, Inc., a leading global provider of information management and business process outsourcing solutions, today announced that Bart Astor has joined its Education Services team as Senior Advisor, Education Services. In his new role, Astor will work with Vangent's Education Services team on policy and legislative analysis, and on key education issues such as simplifying the financial aid application process and aid awareness.
Prior to joining Vangent, Astor served as Director of the Washington Office of the National Association of State Student Grant and Aid Programs (NASSGAP), where he represented the Association with the U.S. Congress and the U.S. Department of Education.

Prior to his work at NASSGAP, Astor was publisher of the College Planning Quarterly publication for families preparing for college. He has served as Director of Student Financing and Regulatory Affairs at Katharine Gibbs School in New York; Fiscal Director of Financial Aid at the City University of New York; and Director of Financial Aid at Cabrillo College in Aptos, CA.
Astor graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a BA in Psychology, and holds a Master's Degree in Public Administration from San Jose State University.
