Avenged Sevenfold Releases New Track Exclusively Through Band's Ground-Breaking Fan Access Network
Market Wire, January, 2008
Avenged Sevenfold has reinvented the concept of the traditional band "fan club" by launching the Fan Access Network area of its website. Those who have bought copies of the MVI version of Avenged Sevenfold's self-titled new album, and registered for F.A.N., can now gain access to exclusive music, concert ticket presales, never-before-seen video, and much more.
Avenged Sevenfold have kicked off this innovative launch by making a previously unheard track, "Crossroads," available free for streaming to all F.A.N. members. The song was recorded during sessions for Avenged Sevenfold's fourth album, which was released as a CD and a music video interactive DVD (MVI) on October 30th by Warner Bros. Records.
The MVI version contains free, exclusive content that has been conceptualized by Avenged Sevenfold specifically for F.A.N. To gain access to the bonus content, users must register with a number obtained from their copy of the MVI. They then become part of an online community of Avenged Sevenfold fans who receive all the news first and can communicate with one another through the F.A.N. area of www.avengedsevenfold.com .
Avenged Sevenfold's self-produced new album, the follow-up to the 2005 million-selling "City of Evil," topped the Billboard Alternative, Hard, and Rock Charts its first week of release. It also debuted at Number Four on the Billboard Top 200, marking the biggest sales week ever for the Huntington Beach based quintet. The first single, "Almost Easy," exploded at Number Two at Active Rock and Top 10 at Alternative radio. Avenged will headline the 2008 Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour, which begins February 29th in Denver.
More exclusive content for F.A.N. members will be released throughout the year. Stay tuned to www.avengedsevenfold.com for more details. Copies of the "Avenged Sevenfold" MVI can be purchased at: http://store.warnerbrosrecordsstore.com/prod.aspx?pfid=1558150 .
