U.S. Air Force Lieutenant General Leslie Kenne Joins SRI International Board of Directors

SRI International, an independent nonprofit research and development organization, today announced that Lieutenant General Leslie F. Kenne (U.S. Air Force, Retired) has been elected to SRI's board of directors, effective January 1, 2008. Lt. General Kenne becomes the tenth member of SRI's board, which includes leaders from business and government.

Lt. Gen. Kenne is currently the president of LK Associates, a consulting firm based in Fairfax, Virginia. When she retired after a 32-year career in the Air Force, Lt. Gen. Kenne was serving as deputy chief of staff for Warfighting Integration. In that role, she was responsible to the Secretary of the Air Force and the Chief of Staff for forming and executing policy and strategy to integrate command, control, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities to enable more effective use of air and space power.

She served in three Pentagon staff positions and directed three major programs: the Low Altitude Navigation and Targeting Infrared System for Night, the F-16 and the Joint Strike Fighter. Lt. Gen. Kenne also served as Vice Commander of Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, and the Sacramento Air Logistics Center at McClellan Air Force Base.

Lt. Gen. Kenne currently serves on the corporate boards of Harris Corporation and Unisys Corporation. She has an M.S. in procurement management from Webster University and a B.S. in aerospace engineering from Auburn University.
