Recursion Software Expands Developer Toolkit to HP Integrity Servers
Market Wire, February, 2008
Recursion Software, Inc., an innovative provider of intelligent middleware and high-performance development tools, announced today the extension of its popular C Toolkit(TM) Suite to HP Integrity servers. The C Toolkits are portable, reusable class libraries for multi-threaded applications and are offered with complete source code. With library subsets for time , threading , streaming , networking and more, the C Toolkits save developers time and effort allowing them to focus on higher-level development objectives.
For this reason, JDA Software Group, Inc., a leading provider of merchandise and supply chain management solutions and longtime Recursion Software customer, wanted to preserve access to C Toolkit software when it switched to HP Integrity servers.
"We have been very pleased with the solutions and service we have received from both Recursion Software and HP over the years," said David King, senior vice president of product development, JDA Software. "When we decided to port to HP Integrity servers, we were delighted that Recursion and HP collaborated to ensure the compatibility of our existing C Toolkit software. The combined solution provides the superior performance we have come to expect from these companies."
Fully tested and commercially hardened over 10 years, the C Toolkit is a developer favorite compared to other libraries that often lack the breadth of functionality and volume of examples that Recursion provides in a single unified, adaptable solution. The addition of HP Integrity servers furthers Recursion's continued successes collaborating with industry leaders to provide powerful computing solutions on behalf of customers. Other recent C Toolkit success stories include the implementation of a cutting-edge real-time robot control framework developed by Hanson Robotics.
"Recursion remains committed to making our software available on today's most relevant platforms," said John Patoskie, vice president of engineering, Recursion Software. "The adaptability of our Toolkit products resulted in a smooth and painless extension to HP Integrity servers."
"Rapid response to application development is extremely important for the developer community," said Lorraine Bartlett, director of server marketing, Business Critical Systems, HP. "The availability of Recursion's C Toolkits on HP Integrity servers provides customers with a cost-effective way to create and easily manage database applications on a reliable, flexible HP platform."
