Interthinx(R) Automates Cascading AVM Within Its Proven Risk Mitigation System
Market Wire, February, 2008
Interthinx®, Inc., the leading provider of proven risk mitigation, mortgage fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance tools for the mortgage industry, has announced the integration and automation of its cascading AVM (automated valuation model) solution within its proven FraudGUARD® risk mitigation system. This most recent innovation enables users to customize complex business rules based on lender credit policy directly within FraudGUARD to automatically trigger a request for a Clear Value(SM) cascading AVM. Lenders and investors can benefit from improved efficiencies, decreased costs, reduction in transaction processing time, and optimized workflow.
"This is a critical time for innovation and the delivery of tools that not only mitigate risk, but mitigate unnecessary expense for the financial industry," stated Stacey Louie, senior vice president of product development and engineering for Interthinx. "Leveraging its XML-based service oriented architecture, FraudGUARD passes subject property details to Clear Value without requiring additional time-consuming data entry by the user. More importantly, this new automation optimizes workflow by allowing customers to first use FraudGUARD's property analytics and internal valuation model, which achieves a nearly 90-percent hit rate before executing the remaining AVM cascade. With current economic conditions, Interthinx is keenly aware of the need to develop technology to help lenders reduce costs while providing the most effective risk mitigation and fraud detection capabilities in the marketplace."
Using this automation, FraudGUARD will access all of the AVMs currently available in the Interthinx stand-alone Clear Value product, such as CMV, HVE, HPA, CASA, PASS, ValuePoint4, PowerBase6, ValueSure, SiteXValue, and VeroValue. The AVM models selected in the cascade can be customized to meet specific client preferences and configurations.
"Interthinx clearly understands the state of the market and that cascading AVM solutions are a valuable tool in determining accurate valuations," added Kevin Coop, president of Interthinx. "The recent inclusion of Interthinx proprietary closed sales data gives users the most recent property sales information, and enables us to deliver the most accurate valuations within FraudGUARD. That data, combined with the most accurate neighborhood analysis and the seamless ability to order an AVM when necessary, provides Interthinx customers the most comprehensive and cost-effective collateral solution on the market."
