The eSUNTech and Socket Mobile Solution Provides Real-Time Medical Information

By combining the Socket Mobile SoMo(TM) 650 handheld computer with the RxTRAKKER suite, the bundled solution enables quick and easy recall of vital medical information, on the spot and in a matter of seconds.

The eSUNTech RxTRAKKER RFID wristband will debut at HIMSS08. The RxTRAKKER wristband houses an RFID tag that contains a mini-database of vital medical information, such as identification, next of kin contact information and doctor's contact information. In addition to the biographical information, the RxTRAKKER wristband also stores information about allergic reactions, medical conditions, blood type, Do Not Resuscitate (DNR) status and more.

Unlike a traditional RFID tag, the RxTRAKKER stores and accesses the patient medical information right on and from the wristband RFID tag instead of on and from a remote database.

eSUNTech has bundled the RxTRAKKER suite with the Socket Mobile SoMo 650 and CF RFID Reader Series 6 for a complete RFID and barcode tracking solution. The eSUNTech / Socket Mobile solution is endorsed by ICE4SAFETY, a public service organization that encourages practical preparedness tools. ICE (In Case of Emergency) supports the RxTRAKKER as the ideal solution for immediate and complete emergency information to save time and save lives.

The RxTRAKKER solution is targeted toward assisted living centers, nursing care facilities, cruise ships, special needs personnel, speech / hearing impaired, field workers and many more. The solution is ideal for Emergency Medical Service providers, as it allows quick access to real-time medical information during potentially life threatening situations.
