BioNovix, Inc.: Management Team Confirmed; Communication Policies; Brokerage Talks Underway
Market Wire, February, 2008
BioNovix, Inc., a Delaware corporation, announced confirmation of the revised Management structure, establishment of a new communications policy, including commencement of formal press releases, and ongoing brokerage discussions.
Background
In its first year, BioNovix produced exponential growth with revenues, while awaiting profitability on the horizon. In just one year, the Company has approximately 9,000 distributors and has expanded with a foot into Mexico, the Philippines and Korea, each at different stages of progress. In order to better serve its Independent Business Consultants and Investors, BioNovix, Inc. announces the following information.
Management Team
According to Mark Labertew, CEO, CFO, "I am motivated and focused to move us into a worldwide concern with growth and profitability through a balance of financial minded controls and systematic growth here and overseas."
He noted, "We have had much sales success with the original team. We thank them."
He further commented, "As we grow and meet new challenges, and obtain advice from brokerage related people and professionals, we have started a process of self review and evaluation and are taking a variety of steps involving corporate structure, management, overseas efforts, cutting costs, and so forth.
"One key is to focus on Management and try to find the right mix of experiences and abilities, among other factors, for this year and possibly beyond," according to Mr. Labertew.
Recently, for the New Year, the Company experimented, and navigated through countless discussions, on the direction to take with Management, and with working with a mix of new and past team members. Some have stayed, some have gone. While important, sales managers and vice presidents are part of our sales structure, not Board of Directors or key executive officers. Therefore, with changes, here are the key members of top Management:
Mark Labertew is Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer. Mark brings to BioNovix a background of profitable leadership in dynamic domestic and international enterprises. Mark has lead profitable companies, spanning diverse industries, from start-up through growth into multi-million dollar businesses, and has structured, negotiated and consummated high dollar corporate transactions and financings. Most recently serving as COO of Suntech Manufacturing in Tempe, AZ, an international manufacturer with 9 worldwide locations, Mark held full P&L accountability for every aspect of operations, visions, strategic planning and directions, finance, business development, sales and marketing, technology and R&D. Previously, he helped grow an IT startup from $0 to $30 million in annual revenues as President and CEO of Tracker International and delivered triple digit ROI to stakeholders. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Financial Accounting from Metropolitan State College in Denver, CO. When the Board of Directors and Mark believe timing is right, a second person will come in and be CEO and/or CFO, but for now the strength of management and financial determinations being under the control of a CPA is best.
Eric Kuhrts now serves as a Director and Chief Science Officer. He has been involved in numerous aspects of management and research related to pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, and consumer products for over 18 years. Eric has developed and licensed novel proprietary diagnostic biomarkers, major sports supplement products, numerous over-the counter (OTC) drug products, drug delivery systems, and many new biopharmaceutical formulations in the cardiovascular, and anti-inflammatory area. Eric also has extensive experience in the development of new drugs that require FDA approval via new drug application (IND/NDA) submissions. Eric is a graduate of the University of California at San Diego. Eric will continue to be a member of the company's Board of Directors. As co-founder and primary visionary for the launch of BioNovix, Fred has been an extremely valued asset to the growth of the company. Fred spent seven years in U.S. Army Intelligence followed by a successful 15-year career in sales and marketing within the casino, pharmaceutical (Merck) and medical device (Medtronic) industries. While serving as CEO of Sedona Labs, he successfully reorganized and restructured to improve IT systems, shipping, manufacturing, communications and purchasing. He also guided the company through the launch of three new products that are positioned to achieve multi-million dollar sales growth through premier retailers.
