Acumen Solutions Raises $34K for SEED School Student College Scholarships in 3rd Annual Jingle All the Way 10K Race

Acumen Solutions, a leading business and technology consulting firm, announced today that it raised a total of $34,000 in proceeds from its Annual Jingle All the Way 10K race held on December 9th, 2007 in Potomac Park in Washington, DC. All proceeds went to benefit college scholarships for SEED School students in Washington, DC.

"Scholarships are so important to SEED because they help our students defray college costs that could impede their access to higher education," said Charles Adams, Head of School at The SEED School in Washington, DC. "The support from Acumen Solutions enables us to provide scholarships to half of our graduating class, helping them to realize their college dreams."

The SEED Foundation is a national nonprofit that partners with urban communities to provide innovative educational opportunities that prepare underserved students for success in college. The Foundation established an urban boarding school for grades 7 to 12 in southeast DC. Students not only have the support of the partnership between federal, city and private entities that help fund the school, but also the involvement of their families. Ninety-eight percent of the school's graduates go on to four-year colleges.
