Sonitor Technologies(R) to Showcase New Proprietary Ultrasound Identification RTLS (USID) Platform at RFID Journal Live!
Market Wire, April, 2008
Sonitor Technologies, Inc. today announced that the Company is scheduled to exhibit its latest ultrasound identification (USID) products at the 6th Annual RFID Journal Live!, to be held from April 16-18, 2008 in Las Vegas.
Sonitor will feature three new products at the conference, including the Semi-Disposable RTLS Personnel/Patient Tag, Automated Fall Detection technology, and the "PC-Detector." These products expand upon Sonitor's proprietary ultrasound identification (USID) indoor positioning system (IPS), which automatically tracks with reliable 100% room-level or better accuracy the real-time location of moveable equipment and people in complex indoor environments, such as hospitals, office buildings etc.
Recently described as "the better looking RTLS cousin of RFID," Sonitor's USID system offers significant added value, as it is impervious to interference with or from other electronic equipment steel surfaces, etc. The USID technology can provide accurate location data for applications such as workflow analysis and workflow rules engines, equipment security, association and context interaction event tracking, and even patient fall detection for healthcare environments; advantages that other RTLS technologies cannot provide due to limitations in location accuracy performance.
"Hospitals and many other complex indoor environments are highly dynamic and process driven," stated Terry Aasen, CEO of Sonitor Technologies. "Our customers have been asking for a better way to help manage those real-time identification and tracking processes. We're responding to their needs by providing reliable USID based RTLS technology solutions because we believe it can help them to improve efficiency, productivity, quality control and safety procedures as well as to strengthen inventory and resource management capabilities."
Sonitor will be hosting a trade show booth at the 6th Annual RFID Journal Live! Conference, demonstrating the capabilities and advantages of its proprietary USID system. The Sonitor booth will be located in 813.
The RFID Journal LIVE! Conference is designed to meet the educational, buying and networking needs of executives and technologists in Retail/Consumer Goods, Defense/Aerospace, Health Care/Pharmaceutical and other important industries.
