VerticalResponse Launches Surveys in Response to High Customer Demand
Market Wire, April, 2008
VeritcalResponse Spring Marketing Conference -- VerticalResponse, Inc., the leading provider of on-demand email marketing and direct mail solutions , today launches Surveys at its first annual Get Vertical Spring Marketing Conference at San Francisco's Hotel Nikko.
VerticalResponse is a key asset for more than 40,000 small businesses' communications programs, handling billions of emails a year. Currently, customer relations are primarily outbound, including weekly newsletters, customer loyalty programs, sales and promotions, and many more. The addition of easily-measured, highly-targeted survey data allows small businesses to further personalize communication and create a two-way dialogue with their customers.
The Survey tool includes close to 20 ready-to-use survey templates, an html editor for more advanced designers, and is already plugged into customers' VerticalResponse dashboards. Survey invitations, email alerts and results can be tracked simply in an automatic, familiar interface. In addition, customers can launch live surveys, which allow them to preview and mine or filter results, export findings directly into a VerticalResponse mailing list, and to print various views of the result data.
"The key to any business' success is its customers, and now small businesses have the advantage of really getting to know their customers more," said Janine Popick, VerticalResponse CEO. "VerticalResponse is a crucial element of customer relationship management, and surveys help broaden the dialogue so businesses can respond to customer feedback."
In addition to helping businesses solicit general information from their customers, VerticalResponse Surveys let users flag specific answers, so they can be proactively alerted and respond accordingly. Users can respond immediately to issues of service or others where a timely response can greatly increase a customer's experience.
"It's incredibly important for us to know our customers, especially as a fairly new company in the U.S. market. We've been using VerticalResponse to keep in touch with our customers, and alert them to sales, new products and other reasons to visit our e-commerce site," said Chad Jackson, Marketing & Public Relations Manager at Evisu, a high-end Japanese retailer who launched an American presence about 12 months ago. "Now, with surveys, we're able to learn more from our customers so we can keep a two-way conversation and better tailor communications. I'm excited to have been asked to help test the product and overall am super impressed with how easy it was to setup and view the results. The VerticalResponse Survey product feels very mature for an initial release and I am very happy with it!"
VerticalResponse Surveys are available now to both new and existing VerticalResponse customers. With the launch of the product, every customer gets the first hundred responses free. After that, introductory pricing is based on how many responses are recorded in a given month (in groups of 1,000, 4,000, 7,500 and 15,000). Customers who prepay for 6- or 12-month periods receive 10% and 20% discounts respectively. Non-profits receive an additional 15% on every tier.
