Podcast Features Organization for Women in Autobody Industry
Market Wire, May, 2008
Kim White, a board member of the Women's Industry Network (WIN), the only organization for women in the autobody industry, is featured in this month's podcast from Scene Genesis, Inc.
White recaps WIN's recent annual conference, discusses how WIN got started, its main goals, key issues for women in the industry, and the WIN scholarship program. She is also a sales manager at FinishMaster.
The podcast can be heard at www.sceneexchange.com . It's the latest installment of "Topics in Ten," a monthly podcast that brings opinions and ideas to the collision repair industry.
Florida Shops Join SceneExchange; Openings Available
Scene Genesis also reports that a number of Florida autobody shops have signed up for the US launch of an online referral network called SceneExchange.
"Shop owners are recognizing the power of the Web to generate business cost-effectively. But we're still looking for more shops in Central Florida to join our network," said Chrisa Hickey, Scene Genesis director of product management.
In June, Central Florida will be the first area to go live with this first-in-the-industry program.
SceneExchange lets shops capture more jobs by using the power of the Web to connect with customers. Membership is free and currently open to all collision repair shops.
Shops pay a flat referral fee only when vehicle owners have selected them for the job. After completion, the customer posts a rating of their experience on SceneExchange.
During a pilot program in the Carolinas, shop owners gave SceneExchange high marks.
A three-minute video about SceneExchange is at www.sceneexchange.com . Click on the SceneExchange tab and then "collision repair shops." Membership is available in all states, and the service will continue to roll out across the country during 2008.
More information is available from Hickey at chickey@scenegenesis.com .
Scene Genesis ( www.scenegenesis.com ) is a technology company serving the collision repair and insurance industries.
