Windward CTO's Feature on BSM Published in InformationWeek
Market Wire, May, 2008
Windward IT Solutions, the premier operational management consulting and systems engineering firm, announced today that InformationWeek has published a review of BSM vendor dashboards by Windward CTO Michael Biddick. Today software sellers are pushing Business Service Management, or BSM, portfolios, but early adapters feel the technology has proven unable to provide clear links between IT events and business services. While Biddick states there is no single product that enables complete business service management, he believes the key to successful BSM is having strong service catalogs, centralized inventory via a configuration management database, detailed application dependency mapping and utilized process management tools.
The review, "BSM Vendors Push Products, But Process Is More Important" may be found in the May 10th, 2008 issue of InformationWeek print edition and may be viewed online at: http://www.informationweek.com/news/software/systems_management/showArticle.jhtml?articleID=207600912.
