HxTechnologies Offers Integrated Service on Google Health Platform
Market Wire, May, 2008
Today, HxTechnologies (HxTI), a technology-enabled healthcare services company, announced VaccineView , a free service enabling Google Health users to check how well their immunization history matches the published recommendations of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC). The announcement is in conjunction with today's public launch of Google Health, a new product that allows users to store, organize and manage their medical records online.
"We are delighted to have been selected by Google to demonstrate just one of an emerging array of value-added services built to interact with Google Health," said Dr. Elliot Menschik, HxTI's President and COO. "We look forward to our continued collaboration with Google as we turn to developing other integrated services on their platform."
For consumers who maintain a Google Health "profile" where they store their personal health information and medical records, VaccineView connects seamlessly to the user's account upon their consent and presents a visual snapshot of how their vaccination history matches the most current recommendations published by the CDC and approved by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices , the American Academy of Pediatrics , and the American Academy of Family Physicians .
Building on its expertise in health information exchange, HxTI also plans to introduce a "Google-enabled" network appliance that will offer healthcare providers the means of connecting to Google Health without the need for developing their own custom integration or wait for their clinical applications to natively support access to Google Health.
