Market Wire, May, 2008

Sage Software is shipping today the latest release of Peachtree by Sage Premium Accounting for Nonprofits with features including new multi-year reporting and cash flow management improvements. The new and improved functionality in Peachtree Premium Accounting for Nonprofits 2009 offers small nonprofit organizations improved budgeting, forecasting and planning capabilities for continued growth, along with flexible payroll options and more time and expense tracking.

With a strong feature-set that provides accuracy, control and results, small nonprofits have long relied on Peachtree for its solid accounting and strong organizational and reporting features. Peachtree Premium Accounting for Nonprofits 2009 offers enhanced performance with quicker access to information, and more features to further simplify the ease with which small nonprofits can more efficiently manage daily accounting tasks. The new release includes functionality and security features such as:

-- Cash-flow management now enables managers to quickly create forecast
scenarios and export them to Microsoft® Excel® for better business
performance predictions. The current cash status view has been simplified
to make it easier to see cash flow and get a better outlook on how the
    business is performing.

-- Multi-year reporting enables nonprofits to view budgets and financial
results from farther back than two years to get improved trending analysis,
better research, and more accurate forecasts based on prior year
    activity.(1)

-- Crystal Reports® 2008 has been updated with an improved end-user
report view and enhanced report designer productivity, which allows
nonprofits to have a more streamlined and flexible report designer.(2)

-- Real-time error alerts help managers to catch and correct potential
accounting errors by notifying them whenever a non-standard AP and AR
account is entered into a transaction, or a non-cash account is entered
into a cash account field in receipts or payments, minimizing potential
    fraudulent activities.

-- Payroll Management includes expanded support for many additional
benefits including increased flexibility in set up and maintenance of
multiple retirement and insurance plans, flexible spending accounts, and
new vacation and sick time tracking. In addition, Peachtree reports now
display only the last four digits of Social Security numbers to help
prevent identity theft, comply with state laws and help organizations
better prevent the potential for fraud within their companies.

"We are a trusted resource for small organizations that are committed to getting the numbers right," said Connie Certusi, general manager, small business accounting solutions, Sage Software. "Each new release of the Peachtree line is a combined effort between us and our customers because they provide regular feedback on what they need to run their organizations more efficiently. Reporting and cash-flow management resonated strongly, and the current economy makes these even more pressing issues, particularly for small nonprofits who need to maintain strong controls over money coming in and money going out."

As with previous releases of Peachtree, small nonprofits continue to get true double-entry accounting and analysis tools, along with nonprofit-specific reports and templates for fundraising and donor relations.

Additionally, Peachtree by Sage - Quantum 2009 is available for growing small nonprofits. The most comprehensive application in the product line, Peachtree Quantum includes all of the new features and enhancements and supports up to 30 licensed, named users(3) and significantly stronger performance to support increased transaction volume using the new SmartPosting technology. This technology provides significant performance improvements in multi-user environments.(4) And, repeated tests have proven Peachtree Quantum 2009 significantly outperforms products such as QuickBooks® Enterprise 2008 with up to 4 times faster transaction processing in a 20 user environment.(5)

Included with Peachtree Quantum is Peachtree Quantum Business Care, an extensive service plan that includes all the product updates and upgrades that become available within 12 months of the product purchase date, access to online training and one year of unlimited access to customer support.(6)
