CA and Tizor Collaborate to Integrate CA Security Information Management Product With Mantra Database Auditing and Monitoring
Market Wire, June, 2008
Tizor Systems , a leading provider of enterprise database monitoring and protection solutions for the data center, today announced that it has joined CA's Technology Partner Program . CA (NASDAQ: CA), one of the world's largest independent software companies, provides software solutions to unify and simplify IT management and secure IT environments. The partnership will include integration between Tizor's Mantra database auditing solutions and CA Security Information Management (SIM) solution, including CA Security Command Center which aggregates, correlates and prioritizes security events.
The relationship was formed in response to the market need for integrated solutions that provide a comprehensive data security and regulatory compliance approach that is both easy to use and scalable enough for large business organizations. Through this collaboration, CA and Tizor will streamline the discovery, management and protection of sensitive data for enterprises across a variety of industries.
From a technology standpoint, the integration of Tizor's Mantra and CA Security Command Center will provide enhanced functionality for protecting data assets, mitigating data risk and addressing the auditing, data protection and reporting requirements of regulations including PCI, SOX, GBLA and HIPAA. Customers will benefit from the ability to view a broad range of security events throughout the enterprise network using CA Security Command Center and drill down into specific core database usage and event information utilizing Tizor technology.
"The integration of data auditing and SIM makes perfect sense and is one of the most common requests by our data security clients. It's a natural evolution of the security landscape and provides both breadth of coverage and depth of analysis," said Dave Arbeitel, vice president of product management, CA Security Management. "Tizor's Mantra technology provides a view into data use that customers value for their enterprise deployments. Mantra's data use information, combined with the insight provided by CA Security Command Center, delivers a powerful boost to enterprise data protection."
Mantra is the first product designed specifically for high performance database monitoring and auditing. Unlike firewall-based solutions, Mantra's architecture balances sophisticated policy filtering, analytics and reporting capabilities with an intuitive user interface and policy language. This functionality enables rapid deployment across relational databases and data stored on file shares. Tizor's Mantra solutions deploy faster than other auditing solutions and policies are much easier to generate and maintain, resulting in a lower total cost of ownership. With Mantra enterprises can rapidly address database security, internal data governance and a wide range of external compliance requirements and standards such as SOX, GLBA, FFIEC and PCI.
"CA's SIM solution, in conjunction with Tizor's Mantra database monitoring and behavioral analytic capabilities, enables enterprise customers to dig deeper into security events and better manage those events in the context of an overall data security framework," said Douglas Mazlish, vice president of business development at Tizor Systems. "The technologies are highly complementary and this type of integration is critical to an effective enterprise data security strategy. We are glad to be partnering with CA to provide customers with products that address their data security needs in a highly scalable and cost effective manner."
