Nevada Casino Revenue Grew 5.72% in 2007 to Reach Nearly $11.8 Billion, According to Casino City

Market Wire,  June, 2008

Casino City Press has announced the release of the 2008 edition of the Nevada Gaming Almanac, the industry's best single source for Nevada gaming market data and contact information. In addition to summary pages with current FY 2007 profit-and-loss results, the new edition provides five-year revenue statistics for each jurisdiction along with essential ratios including slots per room, slots per game, and games per square foot.

The Almanac reports that in 2007 the Nevada gaming industry saw a revenue growth rate of 4.89 percent across all departments, which was markedly lower than the 13.07 growth rate posted for 2006. Casino, beverage, food, and hotel-room revenues grew by 5.72, 6.92, 2.99, and 4.96 percent, respectively. In the games area, Pai Gow Tiles saw the most unit growth in 2007, with 51.52 percent. Penny Slots (27.70 percent) and Baccarat (26.61 percent) were a distant second and third.

The new Almanac also gives counts and distribution of gaming properties, devices, and tables along with detailed profiles of Nevada properties, owners, industry suppliers, and regulatory agencies. In addition, names and titles are provided for more than 5,000 Nevada gaming executives across 40 departments.

The CD version of the Nevada Gaming Almanac provides the entire contents of the current and prior printed almanacs in electronic format along with a unique Gaming Market Analyzer tool that allows the user to define and compare markets by type of gaming establishment and location (including radius searching) and shows detailed profiles for each property in the gaming market plus summary data such as number or properties, gaming machines, poker tables, hotel rooms, and employees. Other CD features include a Nevada Gaming Property Map and annual reports of Nevada gaming businesses.
