BigBand Networks to Showcase Video and Advertising Innovations at KCTA 2008, Booth A-1

BigBand Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: BBND), a leading innovator in video networking, today announced that it will demonstrate switched digital video innovations in booth A-1 at KCTA 2008, Korea's premier interactive digital cable television conference and exhibition, being held June 11-14, 2008 in Busan.
BigBand will demonstrate switched digital video, a solution that enables expanded HD and SD program choices, and unveil customizations for Korean cable markets. The company will also show its Switched Video Analysis (SVA) application that helps operators optimize SDV lineup selection, improve bandwidth efficiency and perform capacity planning, monitoring and troubleshooting.
In addition, BigBand will preview functionality that leverages switched unicast, a variation of switched digital video, to match advertisements to the interests of individual subscribers.
During the KCTA conference BigBand will host an Advanced Video Technology summit for all leading cable operators in Korea. Doug Jones, BigBand's chief architect, will compare and contrast a wide variety of video networking technologies, and examine options for cable operators to best increase revenues. Doug Jones is a respected member of United States' cable industry and a winner of the prestigious SCTE (Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers) IP Innovator Award.
