Texterity Teams Up With SNAP to Help Launch the Digital Provider Marketplace
Market Wire, June, 2008
Texterity, a leading provider of digital publishing solutions, is among the first companies to join the new Digital Provider Marketplace being created by the Society of National Association Publications (SNAP). This Marketplace will offer first-hand information about digital publishing to SNAP members and will provide a handsome online showcase to participating vendors.
As part of the affiliation, Texterity will digitize, maintain, and track SNAP'S bi-monthly Association Publishing magazine. Texterity will also be a resource to SNAP members for consultation and special benefits.
While the Marketplace is scheduled to formally debut in July, association publishers are already enthusiastic about this "virtual trade show." According to Amy Lestition, Executive Director for SNAP, "We get so many questions about digital publishing that we felt it was time to address them in a way that would make it easy for members to scope out companies, check out tools, and click through links."
As this year's SNAP conference (June 10th, Washington, DC) is themed around 'Purpose, Process, and Politics,' the launch of the Marketplace is especially timely because the digital format offers numerous efficiencies to the publishing process.
Says Cimarron Buser, SVP of Marketing and Business Development for Texterity, "For readers, digital delivery provides instant gratification. Our high quality digital editions can be viewed quickly on any web browser -- computer, iPhone, or iPod touch. For publishers, the savings on printing, postage, and distribution costs are considerable, and for associations in particular, the frequent, personal communication of digital delivery helps build member loyalty."
Texterity currently handles more than 850 digital publications including over 40 titles for associations such as the American Chemical Society, American Society of Business Publication Editors, Automotive Industry Action Group, Marine Corps Association, Muscular Dystrophy Association, National Association of Student Personnel Administrators, and the Project Management Institute.
Texterity, Inc. was founded in 1991 and has been named a "Top 100 Company" by EContent magazine. For more information, please visit www.texterity.com .
SNAP was founded in 1963 and currently represents 1,400 members who produce 350 publications. Learn more at www.snaponline.org .
