Hypervisor Security Breaches: Myth vs. Reality
Market Wire, June, 2008
Taking security for granted in virtualized environments can be a risk that may not be worth taking. Industry leader and CTO of Reflex Security, Hezi Moore, has been invited to speak on the subject 'Hypervisor Security Breaches: Myth vs. Reality' next week at the 2008 Virtualization Conference and Expo at The Roosevelt Hotel in New York City. The session is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 23 at 6:25pm Eastern time.
"There has been much discussion of the importance of properly secured virtualized environments," said Hezi Moore, CTO and founder of Reflex Security. "At the heart of this discussion are threats to the 'hypervisor' where a hacker can break out of a guest OS and onto the host OS of a server. The 2008 Virtualization Conference and Expo will give us the perfect opportunity to elaborate on the reality of hypervisor threats and the security measures that IT staff should take before and after they implement virtual environments."
Moore is a pioneer of the automated network intrusion response system and has more than 15 years' experience in the IT security and networking industry. Prior to Reflex, he was president of MicroTech Systems and holds a B.S. in computer engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
