Risk Management Consulting in High Demand

Market Wire,  July, 2008

Addressing new forms of risk -- including the unintended consequences of new technologies, the complexities of globalization, threats of terrorism and the wrath of natural disasters -- represents a consulting and advisory opportunity that will grow to $54 billion by 2011, according to consulting market research firm Kennedy Information.

Kennedy anticipates risk consulting will grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of nearly 17%, roughly twice as fast as the overall consulting market. "On a global basis," says Kennedy Consulting Research Vice President Tom Rodenhauser, "risk consulting demand is on the rise given significant business failures, concerns over governance and accountability, and invasive compliance requirements."

In its new research, "Risk Management Consulting Marketplace 2008-2011," Kennedy analyzes the global risk consulting and advisory landscape and identifies the current demand drivers and forecasts growth across 12 client industry sectors and 4 global regions. Kennedy analysts have profiled some of the most active and prominent risk management consulting practices worldwide including ABN AMRO Bank N.V., ABS Group, Accenture, Aon, CBIZ, Control Risks Group, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, Ernst & Young, Grant Thornton International, IBM, Jefferson Wells International, KPMG International, Oliver Wyman, Protiviti, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Towers Perrin/Tillinghast.
