BACKGROUND: During the roundtable, experts will reveal startling new
research data on some of the recent developments in
children's Internet use and discuss resources and tools that
parents, teachers and schools can access for help. Some of
the topics that will be covered include:
-- Emerging dangers, threats and trends in kids' online
safety according to a survey of 40,000 students
conducted by RIT
-- The new face behind online perpetrators, and how it
impacts ability to effectively police Internet crime
-- Major missteps parents can avoid when it comes to
online safety for their family
-- Leveraging available tools and resources to enhance
children's Internet safety -- for both parents and
educators
-- How schools, PTOs and PTAs are getting this message
out to parents

discussion.
